Also known as: Ojin, Yawata-no-Kami
(god) Hachiman was once a mere folk deity who helped peasants and fishermen get greater yields. Deified emperor so to speak. Then, boom! He got an overnight rise in priorities. He became the Buddhist god of valour and justice and later, the tutelary guardian of samurai. He invented the bushido to help the warriors fight better. He’s also the god of peace and abhors violence. He’s best buds with Marishiten, the Buddhist goddess of battle and magic.
